"Beautiful set up, and a great food offering. The staff are exceptional, and the food could be better. I ordered a medium well steak the first time and it was very well done, went for a medium the second time around and it was still well done. The side pairings for steaks changed over the two times I visited so I was disappointed with that but nevertheless a good experience and great photo opportunities."

"The very definition of fine dining . 10/10 for overall experience. The food was amazing. The flavours were bold yet well balanced, a grand menu with a good variety offered. In every bite, an explosion of flavours , you can taste the good quality, fresh ingredients. Everything was cooked to perfection and exquisitely presented. Compliments to the chef who accommodated the picky eaters and the waiter who was attentive , polite , helpful and efficient. The venue was very classy perfect for special occasions. Tables are draped in black cloths, with a little vase of red roses in the center, walls decorated with ornate mirrors , ceilings bejewelled with glistening chandeliers. There is out door seating and indoor. What ever dessert you try , make sure it comes with the mango sorbet!! It was absolutely amazing . Thank you to the team at Butler's for the great experience. "I visited this lovely fine dining restaurant in Hillcrest to celebrate my eldest daughter's graduation dinner with my family of 13. The ambiance was wonderful, making it a perfect setting for such a special occasion. On this particular day, they featured a delicious burger special, which most of my teenage children eagerly indulged in—and they weren’t disappointed! I chose the Norwegian salmon, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. It was expertly prepared and full of flavor. Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a refined dining experience in Hillcrest. Plus, parking is ample, making it convenient for larger groups. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return!"

"We celebrated our year end party at Butlers Hillcrest. We had a wonderful time. We booked in advance and paid a R500 refundable booking fee. The food was delicious, the drinks were made perfectly and dessert was mouth watering Our waiter was friendly and experienced. The toilets were not clean. Safe parking. Great vibe and atmosphere. It would definitely recommend it."

"A well deserved 5/5. Butler's Hillcrest exceeded expectations for me and my date. The atmosphere is lively, it's not too loud. There's outdoor seating, a section by the bar and a more intimate seating area. The service was amazing, the waitresses and waiters were super friendly and helpful. The food, oh my word! My date had the stuffed chicken breast which he genuinely enjoyed. I had the fillet steak with mash and mushroom sauce. It was cooked to perfection. We'll definitely be visiting again. I highly recommend this restaurant."
